Membership Eligibility Verification
- Eligibility | PhD awarded over 10 years ago; holds a tenured or equivalent senior position in academia, government, or industry.
- Upon completion of the membership purchase, applicants will be contacted for a thorough qualification review by the organization.
- If an applicant is found not to meet the prescribed membership criteria, the membership fee will not be refunded, and the applicant will be ineligible to receive the membership certificate or any associated membership benefits.
- By submitting a membership application and payment, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to this policy.

- Priority nomination as Scientific Committee member, forum convener, or keynote speaker
- Participation in strategic decision-making within relevant scientific committees of IOS.
- Public profile featured in “Senior Member Highlights” on the IOS website
- Nomination for the Annual Outstanding Member Contribution Award
- Eligibility to be nominated and selected as a IOS Young Fellow, recognizing leadership in mentoring and community engagement
Obligations
- Actively mentor junior and mid-career members
- Contribute to scientific committee, boards, review panels, and strategic initiatives
- Nominate and support emerging talent through IOS programs
- Represent IOS in high-level dialogues, policymaking forums, and international collaborations
